Some Punk Funk- Some Punk Funk was commissioned by the Campbell Unified School District (Campbell, CA) for the 2009 All District Percussion Ensemble. The piece itself is written for 8 players and bass guitar, but can be performed with as few as five and as many as you can get on stage!
A grade three piece that has specific instrumentation but can be played on just about any old drum you have laying around.
- Firebird
- Bercuese and Finale is one of Stravinsky’s most recognized works, and is often performed by pageantry units of all kinds every year. This sample was arranged for Wilcox High School in Santa Clara, CA. With limited instrumentation, Pitopia was able to capture the spirit of this great piece, and make it work for five performers!
- Above and Beyond
- Above and Beyond was commissioned as a part of the Campbell High School Honors project for their 2009 Festival Concert. Inspired in part of David Gillingham’s “Stained Glass”, it is work intended for an ensemble of 8 – 12 people is of medium easy difficulty. A great piece for all levels of students.
- Houshuku
- Written for the 2010 Campbell High School District Music Festival. "Houshuku" is the Japanese word for "Celebration." This is a grade three level of difficulty, ideal for a concert opener.
